According to the latest Hays Jobs Report, skills relating to finance and information technology are good for your resume in 2018. If you intend to apply for a permanent residency visa, a bachelor or masters degree in these areas grants you points towards your application
Here are the top 30 jobs that employers are currently trying to fill.
Financial business analysts, cyber-security professionals, app developers and
other technically specialised positions are all in high demand this year, according to Hays’ latest data.
The global recruiting group’s list of in-demand roles also includes site managers, executive assistants,
change analysts, social workers, and civil construction professionals.
Here are Australia’s most in-demand jobs for January-June, 2018:

    • Commercial Analysts in response to a greater focus on growth and a desire for revenue generation to be driven from finance not operations;

    Data Analysts with both hard and soft skills who can use digital tools and pull data together while managing stakeholders and communicating the evidence for decision-making purposes;

      Digital Marketing Analysts who are experienced digital marketers and can also implement a full marketing strategy;
      Cyber Security and DevOps specialists as the need for risk mitigation and process improvements increases;
      PHP, Drupal, Native iOS and Android and Microsoft SQL BI Developers given the popularity of these tools;
      Business Development Managers to drive new business growth;
      HR Business Partners to imbed HR into a business and ensure internal clients have a strong point of contact for HR issues;
      Executive Assistants with strong experience;
      Change Analysts with skills in organisational change;
